The Mortgage Servicing Assistant will:

• Assist in activities related to mortgage servicing such as insurance, escrow, assumptions, payoffs, customer and investor relations, loan records and credit references.
• Assist in the payment of taxes and insurance on escrowed mortgage loans and obtain current information on non-escrowed accounts. Assist in the escrow analysis for annual rate and payment changes.
• Perform a variety of administrative duties which require knowledge of such departmental procedures as completing loan documents, processing loan forms and files, etablishing and maintaining a variety of ledgers, records, and/or files; maintaining paid loan files, and inputting data.

You will be responsible for management and resolution of a portfolio of non-performing delinquent small business loans originated by BPNA Branches in the New York, Central Florida and South Florida Regions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect post due payments from customers
• Formulate and implement litigation strategies with outside counsel

The Mortgage Loan Officer/Originator position is primarily responsible for generating residential mortgage and development loans through solicitation of individual borrowers, real estate brokers, builders and developers. Functional:
- Establishes and maintains client referral relationships with realtors, builders and developers; makes sales calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
- Serves as primary contact with all parties on individual loans originated from application to closing which includes, but is not limited to:
- Counseling and prequalifying potential homebuyers
- Completing applications,

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (Minimum education, experience, technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position.)
- In-depth knowledge of FHA, VA and conventional guidelines for mortgage loan origination.
- Working knowledge of various regulatory guidelines (e.g., Truth-in-Lending, HMDA, RESPA, ECOA, FDPA, etc.).
- Moderate PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Advanced math and basic accounting skills with ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
