Mortgage Underwriter (FHA)
Ryland Mortgage is currently looking for three (3) temporary government underwriters. Individuals will underwrite FHA residential loans, ensuring compliance with appropriate secondary marketing investor and insuring guidelines. These assignments will be a minimum of 30 days - maximum of 90 days.
Responsibilies include:
* review and analyze all credit/income/asset documentation submitted in order to make a sound determination of credit worthiness;
* ensure that property appraisals meet HUD requirements;
*utilize approved automated underwriting systems (LP/CLUES/CLOUT) daily in decision making process.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years government underwriting experience.
* Must have FHA DE.
* Strong overall computer skills (MS Office, AUS, Processing systems).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills.
* Ability to establish excellent relationships.
* Detail oriented.
* Flexible.
