A Real Estate Loan Processor will be primarily responsible for the gathering of information regarding Mortgage applications. To properly perform this job, great attention to detail and the ability for critical thinking are a must. Additionally, there are clerical duties and some capability for creative thought. Although this is a “back office” position, the job function requires considerable telephone communication and some face-to-face contact with the members, third party vendors, attorneys and other interested parties to the transaction. This person must have excellent typing skills, good verbal and written communication techniques.
Working as a team player, the back-office Real Estate Loan Processor will assist his/her co-workers throughout the credit union in achieving total quality and contribute to a friendly and cooperative working environment. Because of the similarities between Mortgages and Home Equity loans this individual will be required to serve as back up to our Consumer Lenders based upon business needs. This person must strive to do his/her best, and believe in the philosophy of “doing it right the first time”.
It is important that this person be self-motivated and well organized. He/She must make his/her best effort to continuously improve the quality of his/her work, and all of the procedures involved in fulfilling this position to the best of his/her ability. In order to provide our members with quality service, he/she will strive to make error-free work a reality.Requirements
Associates Degree preferred. A minimum of one-year experience in data entry. Computer literate and aptitude for figures. Ability to insure quality of work completed. Written and oral communication skills. Real estate lending and home equity experience preferred. Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word necessary. DU and Fannie Mae experience a plus.
