Loan Processor Job Description:

The loan processor position will process mortgage loans in our local mortgage broker office and will handle all of the office administration activities. This position will also act as our 1st level customer service representative by greeting customers on the phone and in our office. This is a very fast paced, computer intensive and customer service oriented position.      Â

Responsibilities Include:
Â
Opening loan files in Loan Origination Software and setting up the paper file.Â
Verifying that documentation provided by Loan officer and borrower matches loan application.
Running loan file through automated underwriting engines as appropriate.
Collecting all necessary documentation needed to submit loan file.
Submission of loan file prior to commitment date to appropriate lender based on loan officer’s decision.
Ordering title, insurance, flood and whatever other documents are needed to clear the file to close.
Ordering closing documents and scheduling the loan close.
Communicate with all interested parties status of the loan file.
Requirements Include:
Must have knowledge of State and Federal Regulations/Disclosures.
Experience with DU, LP, VA, FHA.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Superior customer service skills.
Experience with Loan Origination software, Calyx Point is preferred.
Advanced computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems and requirements.
2 years of prior loan processing experience in a retail mortgage office.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Outstanding organizational skills.
