Job Description
Detailed Job Description and Duties:
Responsibilities will include servicing our new home communities, for the purpose of originating purchase money mortgages. Candidate will also be required to originate mortgages from their own sources outside of DR Horton
Marketing/Business Development:
- Spend adequate time in builder communities to develop a solid working relationship and referral base.
- Provide weekend coverage in builder communities and grand opening functions.
- Make presentations on loan products in Sales Meetings and with Sales staff in builder communities.
- Develop sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate offices.
- Responsible for marketing of DHI Mortgage’s products and services to potential business sources for the purpose of loan originations.
- Educate and train potential business sources (captive and non-captive) via sales presentations.
- Represent DHI Mortgage in a professional manner at industry-related functions.
Loan Origination:
- Pre-qualify and prepare prospective applicants for the initial loan application meeting.
- Have the ability to evaluate the customers’ qualifications and needs to effectively offer the best financing options available.
- Meet with clients to present financing options and complete all necessary application forms and disclosures.
- Stay involved and be the point of contact for the clients and their agents throughout the process.
Other Responsibilities:
- Daily Pipeline Management (loan application to funding process)
- Quality Control - be familiar and comply with all DHI Mortgage`s QC policies, review updates to manual and attend meetings as necessary
Job Requirements
College Degree or equivalent mortgage industry experience
2-3 years in Mortgage Origination. Recent experience in originating FHA, VA and Conventional loans is required. Production from Outside Realtors will be required
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Bilingual is preferred (Spanish)
