Home Loan is currently looking for Loan Officers to work in our Warwick, Rhode Island headquarters.
Loan Officer Position Responsibilities:
Advise potential and existing bank customers to the myriad of loan programs available
Evaluate customer credit and financial needs and match with appropriate loan programs
Accurately quote mortgage programs, terms and closing costs as well as locking interest rates for specific periods of time
Act as a trusted liaison between customers, attorneys, and other interested third parties
Act in a socially responsible manner towards all applicants, be mindful of fair lending principles, and make every attempt to extend credit to borrowers in a just and humane manner

Training:
We take pride in the comprehensive training we offer our employees. All new Home Loan Loan Officers are required to complete our training program to ensure that all of our Loan Officers are knowledgeable about our processes and proper industry standards, and so they can achieve their full potential in this challenging environment. Topics covered include: sales training, credit analysis, mortgage underwriting, legal and income review, appraisal analysis, and title review.
Upon completion of the training program, Loan Officers become responsible for overseeing the entire home equity/mortgage loan process for customers. Loan Officers make proposals directly to our customers, coordinate the collection of all relevant documentation, work together with the underwriting department to insure timely processing of the loan, and work with title companies and attorneys to finalize the paperwork.

Loan Officer Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and sales drive
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone to customers
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Excellent investigative and analytical skills
Professional attitude
Mortgage sales experience preferred
College graduate preferred
