Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (WFHM) is searching for outside sales professionals interested in a career with a financial industry leader. The Home Mortgage Consultant (HMC) is responsible for self-sourcing high quality loans which meet WFHM guidelines, while providing excellent customer service. THIS IS A DRAW AGAINST COMMISSION OPPORTUNITY, NO BASE SALARY
Duties include:
- Originate high quality loans which meet WHFM guidelines while providing excellent customer service
- Develop relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources
- Develop knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements
- Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
- Inform prospective and existing customers of WFHM programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures
- Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk
- Receive customer applications, quote the rate and points, and complete follow-up activities with the registration lock-in
- Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for WFHM in the marketplace
- Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required
Minimum Qualifications
Job experience:
- 1+ years sales and mortgage industry experience
- Availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends
Skills/competencies:
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Physical requirements:
- Ability to move 15+ pounds
- Ability to operate a moving vehicle or have access to transportation
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a day
Education:
- High school education or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of external/outside retail mortgage origination experience with an emphasis self sourced business
- Proven retail mortgage lending sales experience with the ability to meet documented production standards of $10 million or 60 funded units in the past 12 months
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bi-lingual skills
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience
