POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

This position is responsible for the maintenance, processing and administration of high risk rated leases/loans that are assigned to Popular Equipment Finance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively manage inspections of equipment and liquidations of collateral as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
  • Monitor delinquent /leases loans in the region.
  • Assist region managers when applicable.
  • Review credit quality of files transferred to Workout, to determine appropriate course of action.
  • Oversee and control classified leases/loans that are assigned to Workout.
  • Responsible for periodic credit write up on accounts for management review.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and restructure of classified leases/loans as necessary.
  • Prepare liquidation reports and plan for each classified file.

• Prepare to liquidate collateral on short notice when applicable.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of Bankruptcies (7, 11, 13), and must be able to work effectively with outside attorneys.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of banking principles, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
  • Computer literate with a complete understanding of Microsoft Office programs and Excel.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree with an Accounting background preferred with complete reconciliation experience.
