Full time Mortgage Underwriter DE opening at The Bank of Kentucky, located in Florence, Kentucky.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assists in providing quality loans for the financial institution by underwriting, processing and evaluating applications originated by financial institution personnel.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have their FHA DE Number and experience underwriting FHA loans

Must have minimum 5 years Underwriting/Processing FHA and Conventional loans.

Current knowledge of FHA and Conventional guidelines, Compliance and HMDA

Process Construction loans and draw requests

Review title commitments and closing statements, making timely decisions regarding deficiencies identified in the review process

Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to professionally communicate results with investors to resolve post closing issues

Manage pipeline and work proactively with staff

Assist with FHA training

Back up loan processing and vacation coverage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Seasoned experience with LP/DO AUS
Sound knowledge of Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae guidelines
Strong organizational skills, written, verbal and communications skills are a must
Knowledge of Calyx helpful, but not required
