Position Summary
NOVASTAR MORTGAGE, a leader in the mortgage industry, is looking for a talented individual to join our Escrow Analysis team within the Servicing Division of NovaStar Mortgage, Inc. This ever-growing division services NovaStar’s already 16 billion loan portfolio!
Escrow Analyst Representatives will analyze and research escrow accounts. Escrow analyst Representatives will perform various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with brokers, correspondents, closing agents and all internal departments.
Demonstrate service excellence by providing high quality customer service at all times to all-internal and external customers.
Comply with State, Federal and RESPA guidelines as it pertains to escrow analysis.
Manage daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Generate letters for manual analysis preformed.
Analyze new loans within 45 days, if applicable.
Manage short payments received through the PMSP screen.
Correspond with borrowers, insurance agents and other entities by mail and telephone concerning escrow related issues.
Update the PCH1 screen when applicable; payment changes/updates.
Analysis on Bankruptcy Loans.
Make sure all analyses are compliant with state and federal requirements.
Assist Customer Service and Collections with analysis inquiries.
Work the Loans Not Analyzed reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Complete all tasks as outlined.
Comply with all NovaStar guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have the following:
Minimum of 2 years experience in the mortgage banking industry.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to gain a working knowledge of the CPI workstation.
Good organizational skills a must.
Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Ability to work quickly, accurately and with attention to detail in a high volume environment.
Ability to research and understand complex escrow issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High School diploma or equivalent.
